Ayurveda on disease occurrence
Ayurveda acknowledges that disease conditions can take place in the body due to external as well as internal factors. e.g. pathogens, seasonal changes, accidents, diet and lifestyle choices, hereditary causes, past/ natural tendencies, immunity and proneness or predispositions towards certain diseases.
It’s holistic approach comprises of health restoration by 1) Alleviating symptoms, 2) Eliminating root causes, 3) Facilitating rejuvenation, and 4) Prevention.
Treatment outcomes
Treatment outcomes depend on shared responsibility between the science itself, the practitioner and the patient. Ayurveda works in most health conditions but commitment to treatment, perseverance and patience are 3 keys to the desired health outcomes.
Outcomes may vary from patient to patient based on individual circumstances, implementation of health advice, stage of disease and, timely availability of herbal formulations and treatment options in Australia.
Limitations of Ayurveda
Like every science including modern medicine, Ayurveda has its limitations. When it comes to treating some acute conditions, diagnostics and surgery, nothing compares to the modern medicine.
However, when causes of diseases are inexplicable, removing disease roots is crucial-with minimal/nil side effects, long term, non-surgical solutions are sought and prevention is better than cure, Ayurveda offers proven, time-tested, alternative highway to health.
Health recovery and restoration is a shared responsibility
between the practitioner and the patient.
